Bayer Leverkusen: Carro declared striker Schick not for sale

Goalscorer tied until 2025

Bayer Leverkusen rule out a departure of striker Patrik Schick in the summer. With 20 goals in 20 Bundesliga games this season, the striker is a sought-after player on the transfer market, but managing director Fernando Carro declared the 25-year-old unsaleable.

“No, we will not give up Patrik Schick, so there is no need to speak at all,” Carro told Sky TV. Schick’s market value is around 40 million euros, his contract in Leverkusen runs until 2025 and, according to the club, does not include an exit clause. Most recently, the Czech national player has been repeatedly associated with other clubs, including Borussia Dortmund as the successor to Erling Haaland (21).

Carro now made it clear: “We are very happy that he is with us and we are counting on him in our planning for the next few years.” Schick was recently absent from Leverkusen due to a torn muscle fiber in his calf. The attacker has only been training with the team again since this week.
