Professional contract for junior captain
Joshua Eze moves up to the Bayer Leverkusen pros. The 19-year-old captain of the Werkself juniors has signed a license contract until 2024. Sporting director Simon Rolfes highlighted the defensive midfielder as “a central leader in our U19s”. There the homegrown player, who has been with the club since 2010, was also used as a central defender in the past Bundesliga season.
