After RB Leipzig’s cup victory, it is finally clear in which European Cup the defeated finalists Eintracht Frankfurt and sixth-placed Bayer Leverkusen will start.
The Hessians are seventh in the table in the playoffs for the Conference League, while Leverkusen have qualified for the group stage of the Europa League.
If Eintracht had won the cup final, they would have qualified for the Europa League and Bayer would have had to compete in the lower-league European Cup.
