Bayer Leverkusen are considering Werder Bremen’s filling pitcher as a Schick replacement

Rodríguez inexperienced alternative

Recently it actually looked more like national striker Niclas Füllkrug – like his teammate Marvin Ducksch (29) – could extend at Werder Bremen. The long guesswork about the future of the 30-year-old could now pick up speed again. After Bayer Leverkusen confirmed that Patrik Schick will be absent until October as a result of an operation that took place in June, the “Picture’ filling jug in connection with the ‘Werkself’.

After the transfers of Granit Xhaka (30), Jonas Hofmann (30) and Alejandro Grimaldo (27) as well as the lack of departures of top performers – which are still expected – Leverkusen is considered extremely ambitious. In addition, unlike Werder, Bayer Füllkrug could already guarantee games in the European Cup this season. However, Bremen are still hoping for a fee of at least 20 million euros for the reigning Bundesliga top scorer, which is 7 million more than the market value.

TM community expects a transfer fee of 13 to 15 million for Werder Bremen’s filling pitcher

Depending on the fan camp, the demand in the TM rumor mill is too high or just right. Bayer fan “Smokeletsgo” writes: “Would be a house number and not sooo unlikely. But I don’t see 20 million there. The 13 million estimated by TM.de are actually realistic.” User “Marsupilami” agrees: “I think 20 million is more of a wish from Werder – see 13-15 million much more realistic. In the end, it’s a question of whether you’d rather invest 15 million in a fairly secure emergency aid with no resale value such as a filling jug, or add another 5-10 million to get a younger talent. If it ends up being a filling jug, then unfortunately that does not mean that Schick expects to return in October.”

Unlike the Bremen fans like “werder_andy”: “Anything under 15 million is definitely not enough. Because Werder doesn’t have to sell either and therefore has time.” Or “Box2Box87”: “He still has two years of contract, nothing will go for less than 15 million. Why should I?!”

For 20 million euros, as reported by the Bild Zeitung, we should definitely stay away from the filling jug.
In this transfer period we have already spent a total of 35 million euros on two “over 30” players (10 million for Hofmann, 25 million for Xhaka).
If you add a filling jug to the sum mentioned, we would be at 55 million euros!!!
Of course you can do it. But you will definitely not see a cent of the 55 million euros again, as these players will probably then until the end …

Bayer Leverkusen’s alternative to Werder’s filling pitcher could be Real’s Rodríguez

As a potential alternative to the filling jug, the “Bild” meanwhile brings Álvaro Rodríguez (18) from Real Madrid into play. It is easy to imagine that the “royal” would trust the Uruguayan under Xabi Alonso to develop well on loan.

Sports director Simon Rolfes blocked: “I won’t say anything about names. We look at the options and then weigh them up. That’s not always easy with nine players, including financially.”
