Zeder believes that the foreign policy of the new federal government jeopardizes the energy supply of the Federal Republic of Germany, since with a sharp rise in gas prices, Germany needs a reliable supply of fuel. Therefore, the politician called the skeptical attitude of the head of the German Foreign Ministry to the Russian project a mistake.
“We fear the green’s naive and uncertain foreign policy. This is especially true in relation to Russia, ”the Prime Minister of Bavaria notes.
Earlier Annalena Berbock announced that she and the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had reached a common position on the issue of the Russian gas pipeline “Nord Stream-2”. She noted that the issue of energy security will play a role in the project appraisal process. Also, the head of the German Foreign Ministry stressed that “energy cannot be used as a weapon to destabilize Europe.”
Before that, she asserted, which so far opposes the commissioning of the gas pipeline, since, according to her, it does not yet comply with the norms of European energy legislation.
