One year after being eliminated from this competition, also in the quarterfinals, by Daniel Medvedevfirst favourite, the Spanish Roberto Bautista fulfilled his long-awaited revenge and beat the Russian to reach the semifinals of the Halle tournament.
The veteran player from Castellón, 35 years old, is looking for his first success in 2023. He was an unsuccessful finalist in Adelaide and his last trophies were in Kitzbuhel and Doha in 2022.
