Baum und Pferdgarten is working with the South African label Shaka for the shoes of the Pre-Autumn 2022 collection, the Copenhagen label announced on Wednesday. The shoes will be launched in May.
For the collaboration, Shaka’s trekking sandal was reinterpreted and converted into a version that is suitable for both the outdoor area and the city. The sandal will be available in green and in the marine tone typical of Baum and Pferdgarten. The price is 199 euros.
Shaka was founded in South Africa in the 90s and revived in 2013 by Japanese entrepreneurs. The creations of the footwear label are particularly known for their durability and functionality. Baum und Pferdgarten’s Pre-Autumn 2022 collection, which was created under the leitmotif of the “Post-Modern Explorer”, offered the ideal basis for a collaboration with Shaka, according to the press release.
