Last weekend was a great weekend on the Belgian coast, but unfortunately that also has a downside. Photos of mountains of rubbish on the beach of Blankenberge circulated on social media last night. Mayor Bjorn Prasse (Open Vld) reacts disappointed to VTM News: “You can only conclude that people simply do not bother to throw waste in the trash can, but just throw it in the heap.”
