National basketball player Dennis Schröder has suffered a defeat after five wins in a row with the Los Angeles Lakers in the North American professional league NBA.
The team from California lost 109-122 to the Denver Nuggets without the ailing superstar LeBron James. The 29-year-old point guard Schröder scored 14 points and four assists, he didn’t hit any of his five attempts from the three-point line. James sat out with the Lakers with an ankle problem but is expected to be available again soon. The NBA record champion is further behind the playoff ranks in the Western Conference.
The Orlando Magic with Franz and Moritz Wagner clearly lost to the Sacramento Kings with 111:136. Franz Wagner was the second-best thrower on his team with 16 points, while his brother Moritz had 12 points. It was the fifth loss in the past seven games for the Magic, who have the third-worst record in the Eastern Conference.
Center Isaiah Hartenstein and the New York Knicks lost 107-111 to the Milwaukee Bucks. The 24-year-old remained without points in ten minutes of action and got four rebounds.
