The basketball players of Landslake Lions defeated Den Helder 77-59. In the first three quarters it was a fairly even battle in the Indoor Center Landsmeer. Lions made the difference, especially in the last quarter, and ultimately achieved a big win.
“It was not our best game. I also thought Den Helder played well. We have to make the right decisions offensively and read the game. That is work in progress and we still have a few months to do that,” responded Lions coach Chris van Camps afterwards.
“We are going to fight for the title”
Van Kampen’s team is doing well this year and is second behind national champion Grasshoppers. “We are going to fight for the title. We are not the favorite. That is Grasshoppers. We have to work hard to have a chance, but it is possible,” Van Kampen is clear.

Den Helder has sportily taken off a jacket. No fewer than seven players left Mario Bennes’ team. The experienced trainer must start building a new team. “We have a very young team. It takes time to fine-tune things. The oldest player is 23 and the youngest has just turned 17. If we play play-offs at the end of the season and make it difficult for the opponent, then I satisfied,” said Bennes.
NH Sport followed Kim Hartman this evening. After a rehabilitation of almost three years, she made her return on Saturday evening. A report about Hartman will be shown on Monday.
