After a dominant performance, the MHP giants Ludwigsburg were the first team to reach the top four for the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) cup.
In the quarterfinals, the team of the new coach Josh King won a never threatened 95:69 (54:35) victory at the Hakro Merlins Crailsheim. The guests’ top throwers were Jhonathan Dunn and Isaiah Whitehead (18 points each).
The remaining three semi-finalists will be determined on Sunday. Defending champion Alba Berlin plays for BG Göttingen (8.30 p.m.), runner-up Bayern Munich welcomes medi Bayreuth (6 p.m.) and EWE Baskets Oldenburg meet MLP Academics Heidelberg (3 p.m./all MagentaSport).
