Last season, both duels went to the home team. Is this a good omen for Berliners?

The guests won three out of four games in their domestic league and are currently in second place in the table. In the EuroLeague, however, they lost their first game against an opponent from their own country. In the narrow 79:77 defeat against Real Madrid, unlike the ALBA game, it was the fourth quarter that decided the defeat. And they also shot poorly from distance with less than 20 percent. Certain parallels can definitely be seen. With Sedekerskis, Moneke and Diop, they had three players with ten or more rebounds.

The Berliners started the BBL season with two wins out of three defeats, but lost last Saturday against Ratiopharm Ulm 100:88. After today’s game, they could end up in a three-game losing streak across all competitions, which Israel González and his team don’t like at all.

ALBA needs a win today. On the last matchday, the capital city team lost to their German group opponents FC Bayern Munich 68:80. After a good first half, the team appeared completely changed in a negative way in the third quarter. They lost the third quarter by a score of 25:7 and were unable to recover. Louis Olinde and Johannes Thiemann each scored twelve points, but like the whole team had problems shooting from the three-point line. Overall, they only shot just under 30 percent from outside, which of course is not enough for the EuroLeague level.
