Oldenburg loses with a new coach
The EWE Baskets Oldenburg lost their first game under their new head coach Alen Abaz: The Hakro Merlins Crailsheim were beaten 86:97 (41:53) at the bottom of the table. The Oldenburgers had changed from their previous ones during the week head coach Mladen Drijencic separated. It was the eighth home win in a row for the Merlins.
Jobstairs Gießen surprised with a 100:73 (45:35) home win 46ers the Hamburg Towers. The Hessians celebrated their first victory after eight defeats in a row. The hosts started the first three quarters furiously: with two 12-0 runs and one 11-0 run.
