The Skyliners Frankfurt lost the first game under new coach Luca Dalmonte. On Friday, they lost to fifth-placed Ulm 58-61 (25-26). Especially in the third quarter, the team showed an energetic performance and meanwhile pulled away with seven points. Before the end, however, Ulm turned up the heat and with it the entire game.
The home side’s best pitcher was Will Cherry with 16 points. For Frankfurt it meant a painful bankruptcy in the relegation battle. They are still in 17th place. It continues in Heidelberg on Tuesday.
