The Niners Chemnitz and defending champions ratiopharm Ulm continue to move forward in the Basketball Bundesliga.
The Chemnitz team defeated the MHP giants Ludwigsburg 85:66 (28:30) and maintained their lead in the table ahead of Ulm, who won with some difficulty against relegation candidate BG Göttingen 100:90 (50:47).
Chemnitz (13:2 wins) and Ulm (12:3) are comfortably at the top. However, the teams active in the EuroLeague, Bayern Munich (9:3) and Alba Berlin (8:3), have played fewer games.
Ulm’s Jallow dominates
The best thrower in Ulm was Karim Jallow with 25 points. Göttingen showed a strong fighting performance, but could no longer keep up in the last quarter. Karlis Silins stood out for the hosts with 23 points.
Chemnitz only initially had problems with Ludwigsburg, but then noticeably picked up the pace. Center Kevin Yebo was the dominant player on the floor with 27 points, while Kaza Kajami-Keane achieved a double-double with eleven points and eleven assists.
