The league headquarters of the BBL has granted the promoted Tübingen Tigers the license. According to this, the Tübingen have already fulfilled the requirement to increase their equity from 100,000 euros to 250,000 euros by June 30, 2024, according to a club announcement on Tuesday (July 4th, 2023).
When the joint-stock company was founded, the intention was to increase equity. “We are very happy about the final license grant. This is the result of two years of intensive work in our organization. The development, which is promoted equally on and off the field, is paramount“, said managing director Jascha Maus.
All other four clubs, which had been granted the license in May with a condition subsequent or conditions (including master ratiopharm Ulm), have provided all the required evidence on time and in full, the BBL announced. This completes the licensing process for the 2023/24 season.
Tübingen at the beginning with a difficult task
The opening game of the new season on September 27th will be played by defending champions Ulm and the Niners Chemnitz. The first matchday is completed on the two following days. Tübingen starts at runner-up Baskets Bonn.
