Running a terrace in Amsterdam South is quite different from organizing a concert for 25,000 people. And Bas Smit and Nicolette van Dam misjudged that, according to the reactions on the Instagram page of De Amsterdamse Zomer. Visitors are complaining en masse about the chaotic conditions in the Olympic Stadium.
“What a mockery!”
Bas and Nicolette started during the corona crisis with a series of intimate concerts under the name De Amsterdamse Zomer. This weekend there will be two ‘best of‘ editions, which can be attended by as many as 25,000 people per evening. And on the first night yesterday things got really out of hand.
While Bas and Nicolette were mainly busy on their VIP deck with their jubilant celebrities friends, it was absolute chaos on the floor. “What a fucking mockery!!!!! There was really NOTHING well arranged. Shame on you, hype this all up and then put your visitors in the shit like that,” says Mrs. Van Leeuwen.
‘Everyone is thirsty’

Who were enthusiastic? The stars of Shownieuws. They have been pretending that De Amsterdamse Zomer is the spectacle of the year all week.
