According to ‘SER’, Josep Maria Bartomeu and Jaume Masferrer will be tried for Jaume Roures’ complaint related to ‘Barçagate’
A deposit of 100,000 euros is requested with the threat of embargo if it is not deposited within 24 hours
Josep Maria Bartomeu, former president of FC Barcelona, and Jaume Masferrer, his right-hand man, will go to trial after the lawsuit filed by Jaume Roures for libel and slander related to ‘BarçaGate’. A priori, the club hired the services of I3 Ventures to create negative content towards Roures and make it go viral to generate negative comments.
The messages against Roures were published on the Facebook and Twitter accounts named ‘Jaume, a horror film’, one of the six that Cadena SER uncovered as belonging to I3 Ventures in the investigation published on February 17, 2020.
Now, the same station reports that a bail of 100,000 euros is requested from the defendants with the threat of embargo if they do not deposit it in the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the ‘Barçagate’ investigation process continues its course awaiting the declarations of new testimonies and the analysis of the technological devices of those investigated: Bartomeu; masferrer; the former general manager of FC Barcelona, Oscar Grau; and the former head of legal services, Román Gómez-Ponti. In the case, the crimes of unfair administration and/or corruption between individuals are being investigated.
