The city of Barcelona will once again host the awards ceremony of the Princess of Girona Foundation (FPdGi), which will take place on a date to be determined between the end of June and the beginning of July as usual.
According to FPdGi sources, the ceremony requires a space with adequate capacity and technologically prepared which, in the last two editions, has led to the Catalan capital being chosen as the venue for this event.
Another argument used is that of communications, since it is necessary to easy access from different points of Spain with the majority of patrons of the FPdGi from Andalusia, Madrid and Catalonia.
In any case, Girona remains the host city and a benchmark for the institution, as confirmed by the fact that it is the place where the name of the winner in the International category will be announced this Tuesday.
The FPdGi successively advances who are the winners during a tour of different Spanish locations that concludes with the delivery ceremony.
Girona hosts the last of these announcements and is also the scene of the last stop of the Talent Tour, which the FPdGi organizes to promote the generation of communities that enhance the capacity of young people.
This Tuesday, the participants in this event will conclude a series of workshops aimed at positioning the capital of Girona as a international talent hubfor which they will also have the help of business leaders, technological referents and mentors.
The FPdGi’s relationship with Girona experienced complicated episodes in the effervescence of the procés, which led in 2018 to moving the awards ceremony and the working day with young people to alternative venues such as the Mas Marroch restaurant in Vilablareix or the Hotel Camiral in Caldes de Malavella before making the leap to Barcelona.
