Catalonia has started the month of August with a series of ups and downs with different weather episodes. Earlier in the week, several counties were in extreme danger from heavy rain and violent weather and, at the same time, this Tuesday the Alt and Baix Empordà regions had a warning from the Catalan Meteorological Service due to the danger of extreme high temperatures.
This Tuesday, the sky has remained clear or slightly cloudy in generaldespite the fact that there have also been some intervals of clouds until noon in central Catalonia and on the central coast and pre-coastal.
But episode of extreme temperatures has not seen its endsince Meteocat has also issued a moderate danger warning (1/6) for this Wednesday in the counties of Barcelonès, Maresme, Vallès Oriental and Vallès Occidental in the morning, and in the afternoon in the counties of the Lleida province: Pallars Jussà, Alt Urgell, Noguera, Solsonès, Segarra, Urgell, Pla d’Urgell, Garrigues and Segrià.
