The club’s calculations are for a budget for the 2023/24 season with a profit of 11 million euros

The goal is to reach the 1:1 rule next summer to be able to sign more easily.

FC Barcelona plans to close a budget for the 2023-24 season, without counting the possible ‘levers’, with a profit of 11 million euros. President Joan Laporta and his board of directors and executives are working towards closing the 2022-23 financial year with income of 1,225 million euros, in this case yes, counting the levers.

These numbers confirm what was communicated by the president of La Liga Javier Tebas this Thursday about Barça’s salary limit, which has significantly improved its salary mass but still keeps the club at the ratio 1:1.5 (50%).

There is no surprise within the Blaugrana entity, which already expected these results. From there, Joan Laporta has two objectives: to increase the club’s income in order to reach the 1:1 rule next summer.

Although the works at the Spotify Camp Nou force Barça to play for a year and a half at the Estadi Olímpic de Montjuïc, the president and his team are optimistic about increasing sponsorships and compensating with these new income for the excess that still remains in the salary limit (€200M). The objective is to meet the budget that was sent to the League and that this institution approved to give the green light to the registration of the squad.
