This is the message that EL PERIÓDICO has chosen to channel all the editorial commitment that it has already started on the occasion of the celebration of the Women’s Day, that on this occasion it will not be limited to a single day, March 8, but will last twelve monthsuntil March 2023, and that wants to count on the participation of readers and subscribers.
Next Tuesday the newspaper will publish a fake cover of paper, with the chosen message, which aspires to become a banner that can be taken to the 8M demonstration. It is our call to action as readers in favor of an equality that we demand here and now because without it there is no future.
Also, we will create customizable digital postersthrough filters on Instagram that will emulate the iconic poster of We can do italong with two other legendary slogans, which will allow users to put their face on the poster.
Thus, we will start an editorial commitment that will last a whole year, until March 8, 2023, and that will include twelve great contents informative and debate, one each month, and one newsletter. It will be a transversal action, in which all the areas of the newspaper will participate.
Looking ahead to the most immediate 8M, that of 2022, EL PERIÓDICO will paint a portrait of the precarious woman, which you can read this weekend, with testimonials and in multimedia format in Más Periodico. It will also take the pulse of the situation of women in Spain from the point of view legislative and government action. In addition, you will evaluate the problems of women on a day-to-day basis by speaking with readers and subscribers of the newspaper and will explain how the educational system tries to incorporate the gender perspective. The 8M of 2022 will also be the 8M of the mental load and we will analyze why women continue to be gripped by the pressure to be perfect.

The vindication of the 8M will also be present through six workers of EL PERIÓDICO, who will call for the digital subscription to the newspaper for the benefit of the Surt Foundation. The amount of the subscriptions made during the campaign will be donated to the institution dedicated to empowering women and combating gender inequality.
