Major European banks such as HSBC, Barclays, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and ING are still pumping billions into fossil fuels, such as oil and gas. This is according to research by the non-profit organization ShareAction. Last year, more than 55 billion dollars (more than 48 billion euros) was provided to energy companies that announced their intention to expand oil and gas production.
