Bankruptcy flow is picking up: almost 1,000 companies go bankrupt in May

The number of bankruptcies in Belgium has increased almost continuously in recent months. In May, 988 companies were declared bankrupt, in Flanders there was even a record number of bankruptcies. According to the trade information office Graydon, which collects the figures, these indicate that “the long-expected insolvencies due to the Covid period are now increasingly accelerating”.
