‘Band in shape’ Orange Skyline plays at Pinkpop

‘Do everything you do with heart and soul’, was the lyrics of a song by Tröckener Kecks in the late eighties. It is inspiration for the men of Orange Skyline, even if a room is half full or almost empty.

“In the period when we couldn’t do anything because of corona and everything fell away, I promised myself one thing. If I could ever play somewhere again, even if it were for three people at a fair in ‘Luttekutteveenschekanaal’, then I would playing like I would be at Wembley. Since then it’s been going in the right direction, you just have to play every time like it’s your last gig. It’s not more complicated,” says the singer.

After next weekend, Pinkpop can also be added to the list of ‘past gigs’ that is getting longer and longer. Although the band is facing a busy summer, behind the scenes they are also working hard on new sounds. “We are busy writing new songs and if it’s up to me something will come out soon,” Van der Wielen looks ahead. “I just don’t dare put a date on it yet, but it’s in the pipeline anyway.”
