The teenage idol of his time, Bam Margera, came to the attention of the general public in the fall of 2000, when the MTV Music Television channel aired the first episode of the Jackass series. In June, 42-year-old Margera made headlines after running away from rehab – and it wasn’t the man’s only escape.

Margera, who has had a long career in the public eye, has had quite a lot of events in the past. In addition to television programs, he was known as a professional skateboarder, and Margera has also managed to work on the radio, as a director of music videos and as a film scriptwriter. In addition, Margera has struggled with her substance abuse problem for a long time and has also been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Do you remember these twists and turns from Margera’s career?

In the Jackass series, we followed the adventures of a group of foolish and brave friends, and we couldn’t always avoid the ghosts. The program, which became extremely popular, was filmed for three seasons in the early 2000s, and the same lineup was also used to make Jackass-movie. A sequel was released in 2006, Jackass: Number Two.

In the mid-2000s, Margera also starred in her own television show, Viva La Bami. Like Jackass, the show focused on pranks and now also bullying the Margera family. Viva La Bam introduced the man’s parents to the viewers Phil’s and of Aprilas well as Uncle Vincent, who was known in the show as Don Vito.

One episode of Viva La Bam was partly filmed in Finland in Ruisrock, when the series was visited by, among others Ville Valo, Andy McCoy and the Dudsons.

Ville Valo has described Margera as “the most Finnish American in the world.” The Jackass star last visited Finland in 2016, when he arrived in Säkylä for Andy McCoy’s gig.

Margera was known as a big Him fan. Other Nordic rock bands have also been on the man’s mind, such as the Finnish Negative and Children of Bodom, as well as the Swedish The Sounds. Margera has directed music videos for, among others, Himi and The 69 Eyes.

In addition to the Viva La Bam episode, Margera has filmed in Finland Where The Fuck is Santa – comedy film, which aims to make Americans understand that Santa Claus lives in Korvatunturi and not in the North Pole.

Margera is married by Nicole Boyd with and the couple has a son born in Christmas 2017, Phoenix Wolf.

Margera’s life went downhill again in early 2018, when she was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving just two weeks after the birth of her first child. Margera had a good attitude towards seeking help from therapy and they immediately started looking for a treatment place for her with the help of family and friends.

Margera had sobered up and gone on a trip before. In 2015, he got rid of alcohol with the help of a reality TV show, but after four months of sobriety, he started drinking again after a friend offered him alcohol.

The relationship between Margera and Boyd has been stormy, because in 2019 the man explained his relationship problems on social media.

– My wife left me, Margera said and also called Boyd very harshly.

In August of the same year, it was reported that Margera had applied for rehab again.

The love of the couple, who got married in Iceland in 2013, has had enough wrinkles even later, because according to newspaper reports, the reason for Margera’s recent elopements has been the two’s separation.

Boyd, now known as his ex-wife, had forbidden Margera to see her child. He had also failed to answer all of Margera’s messages and calls, which made him uneasy. Boyd filed for sole custody of Phoenix last year, allowing Margera only supervised visits.

This is how the trio posed in the stands of the sports stadium at the beginning of June.

Margera’s recent posts show that skateboarding is still a part of his life.

Despite her successful Jackass career in the past years, Margera did not digest the latest sequel of the film series without munching. The man sued the Jackass group last year and tried to block it Jackass Forever – the release of the film.

Margera was of the opinion that he was fired from the latest film illegally. So he left the challenge to the actor Johnny Knoxvilleproducer Spike Jonzea and director Jeffrey Tremaine against.

Margera justified the illegality of his dismissal by saying that in 2019 he was in severance treatment when the aforementioned persons came to demand the signing of the contract. With the contract, he would have committed to repeatedly undergo drug and alcohol tests in the future while working under the Jackass brand.

Bam Margera did not swallow the latest installment of the Jackass film series without biting. PDO

Margera had failed a drug test because of the prescription medication she was taking for her attention deficit disorder, and for that reason she had been given the shoe. Confused, the man made his feelings public.

– The studio producers stole my creativity, content and stunts for this film, fired me and refused to pay me for my work.

– I created this brand before any of them were even involved, the man roared at the time.

The film premiered in February and Margera will only be seen in a small role.
