Sam Beukema appeared in front of the camera with a sour feeling. The defender of AZ was particularly disappointed with FC Twente’s late goal, as a result the match against the Tukkers ended in a 1-1 draw. “It was a bit quiet in the dressing room afterwards.”
Sam Beukema and Maxim Dekker formed a couple in the back. And only in the second half after the opening goal of Jens Odgaard did the two get busier. The visitors pressed more and more. “I had the idea that we could keep it up, but unfortunately we were not sharp enough for one moment.”
“Strong squad”
Trainer Pascal Jansen could live with the draw. The Alkmaar coach thought that both teams were quite evenly matched. “We must not forget that Twente is also just a strong team.”

Beukema agrees with the mediocre display before halftime and looked for an explanation afterwards. “You’re not playing against a cookie-baking team.”
