Mark Verzijlberg scored a legendary goal as a goalkeeper more than 25 years ago. “I now work at the post and then new people sometimes come. Then they go and look and say was that you? That’s nice, but I don’t watch it all the time,” says the former HFC keeper. Harlem.
On April 6, 1996, he scored the winning goal in the final minutes of the match between HFC Haarlem and FC Eindhoven. And Verzijlberg celebrated this exuberantly. Training Camps
Piet Keur, Mark Verzijlberg and Barry van Galen also played together for a number of years at HFC Haarlem. The training camps never forget the men. “Have we ever slept at a training camp?”, Keur looks back with a smile on the good old days.
