The Filipino bag brand Viajecito (Spanish for “little trip”) will start wholesale in Germany, Austria and Switzerland from the fall/winter 2024 season. Previously, the products were only available online and in the Philippines. The Düsseldorf fashion agency Evelyn Muth is responsible for sales in the DACH region.
The brand is known for its Splashkit range, which will first be launched in DACH. First launched in March 2018, it was conceived by the design team in Manila and developed out of a desire to “create an original design that embodies uncomplicated, elevated yet accessible fashion,” according to a press release from the brand.
Thanks to a geometric silicone body, an original button/strap fastening system, and tarnish-resistant hardware and eye-catching colors, the Splashkit is highly recognizable and has become a favorite.
In addition to the SplashKit Classic, the XL variant, Smile, Mini and Clutch will be available. The Splashkit Bags initially come with a tone-on-tone sports strap and a transparent adjuster.
Sustainable approach
The sports straps are also sold separately and can be combined with the bags to give them a new look and breathe new life into them.
Viajecito also relies on limited series production of colors and collections in limited quantities to avoid overproduction. At launch, the Splashkit Classic is offered in the five colors Coconut, Fog, Smokeblue, Plum and Black or the XL in the four colors Fog, Harbor Blue, Matcha and Black), the Clutch in Matcha, the Mini in Plum and Smile in Smokeblue .
Compared to conventional plastic products, silicone does not release toxic substances into the environment. In addition, silicone products are reusable and recyclable.
The purchase prices range from 8.90 to 38.90 euros and the sales prices at 25.00 to 109.00 euros or for the Splashkit Classic with Sportstrap at 35.40 euros and 99 euros respectively.
