After national player Kai Havertz missed a shot in Arsenal’s FA Cup match against Manchester United, his pregnant wife Sophia became the victim of insults and disgusting threats online. Sophia Havertz made this public on Instagram on Sunday evening.
She posted two examples of messages wishing her to have a miscarriage and threatening to kill the unborn child. “This shocks me very much. I hope you are really ashamed of yourselves. I don’t know what to say,” wrote Sophia Havertz and called for more respect.
Kai Havertz was the only shooter in the penalty shootout against defending champions Manchester United on Sunday. He and Sophia married in July and announced in November that they were becoming parents.
