In the match between the Women’s Lions and the Czech Republic, the completely wrong national anthem was played.

Before the match played on Wednesday, the real Finnish national anthem was heard, but during the Czech national anthem, a completely different song was played, namely the Danish national anthem.

The Czech players quickly realized that it was not the right national anthem. However, according to the Blesk magazine, the players calmly stood in their places, although they smiled with amusement at the situation.

– What is this? Should this be the symbol of our country, the players asked According to Blesk.

The tournament organizers realized the situation later and removed the national anthem.

The Czech Republic started the match strongly when Noemi Neubauerová, Denisa Křížová and Michaela Pejzlova managed to score in the opening set. Eve Savander and Jenniina Nylund brought the Women’s Lions within reach with their goals, but Adela Šapovalivová finished with an empty net for a final score of 4–2.

The Czech Republic will face Denmark on Friday. Finland plays against Denmark today, Thursday.
