“I am very proud”, says Gerrie beaming. He has had one or two triplets in the almost half century that he keeps sheep as a hobby. “Three triplets at the same time, that’s really special,” says his wife Betsie.
It has been a fruitful year anyway, according to Gerrie. ,,Normally you have 1.75 lamb per sheep, but the trader said that this number is already above two this year. So many more triplets are being born everywhere.”
All lambs will remain with Buiting for the next six months. ,,I keep the three most beautiful, the rest goes to the dealer.”
