Babbico appoints Dan Le Vesconte as CEO

The British baby outfitter Babbico is getting a new CEO. On Wednesday, the online retailer announced that Dan Le Vesconte would take over as CEO on January 1st and would also invest in the company.

Le Vesconte, who led Babbico competitor Mothercare Plc as CEO until his resignation in June, brings extensive experience in the clothing industry. According to his future employer, he worked, among other things, at Abercrombie & Fitch as GVP Global Brands EMEA and Head of Global Corporate Development and at Dr Martens as President EMEA. He also temporarily managed the European business of Wolverine World Wide and held various management positions at the US clothing group VF Corporation.

Laura Marsh, one of the two founders of Babbico, welcomed the new addition: “We are pleased to welcome Dan to the team not only as CEO, but also as an investor,” she said in a statement. “His extensive experience and knowledge will play an integral role in the growth of the brand.”
