In preparation for the new season, AZ has found a sparring partner in Bologna. The Alkmaarders will play an exhibition game against the Italian team on Sunday, July 24. The kick-off is at 5 p.m. in the AFAS Stadium.
The match against Bologna is played between the first and return leg of the second round of the Conference League qualification. These will be played on July 21 and 28. AZ plays against either SP Tre Penne from San Marino or FK Tuzla City from Bosnia-Herzegovina.
North Holland touch
Several Dutchmen with a past in North Holland are under contract with the Italian formation. Denso Kasius (FC Volendam), Jerdy Schouten (Telstar) and Mitchell Dijks (Ajax) all play for the number thirteen of last season in the Serie A.
