PEC Zwolle is the first opponent for AZ in the preparation for the new football season. The Alkmaarders will meet the brand new first divisionist PEC on Saturday 2 July at 4 pm. Traditionally, AZ opts for the field of VV Dirkshorn to open the new football season.
The preparation consists of a total of four matches. After the meeting with PEC Zwolle, the selection of trainer Pascal Jansen will go on a training camp to Epe, where they will practice against PAOK Saloniki on Wednesday 6 July.
At the end of the training camp, AZ flies to Greece for a friendly against national champion Olympiakos Piraeus. A week later, the meeting with KVC Westerlo, which finished in twelfth place last season, is scheduled in Belgium.

July 16 KVC Westerlo – AZ, Westerlo area 4 pm
The first official matches will then be on the competition calendar on Thursdays 21 and 28 July. AZ will then participate in the second preliminary round of the Conference League.
On Sunday 7 August, the Alkmaarders will play their first Eredivisie game of the new season against Go Ahead Eagles. Kick-off is at 4:45 PM.
