In the run-up to the away game against Tuzla City in the Conference League, 23 players boarded the plane. Zinho Vanheusden and Mees de Wit were missing. The Internazionale mercenary still has to get match fit, while De Wit is ill.
Jesper Karlsson and Yukinari Sugawara are also staying behind in the Netherlands to work on their recovery. In the selection of the Alkmaarders there is room for Jens Odgaard (missing against Bologna), Fedde de Jong and Myron van Brederode. Latter played against Tuzla City last week already a quarter of an hour.
AZ will defend a 1-0 lead against the Bosnians in Sarajevo tomorrow. The only goal of that game was scored by Dani de Wit from the penalty spot. If the Alkmaarders manage to keep it, it’s Scottish Dundee United the opponent. The kick-off is tomorrow at 8.45 pm.
