AZ has strengthened the selection with Zinho Vanheusden. The Alkmaarders rent the 22-year-old Belgian central defender for one season from Internazionale and have the option to buy him afterwards.
Vanheusden played in the youth for a long time at Standard Liège. Inter brought him to Italy in 2015. The Italian top club then rented and sold him to Standard to bring him back. Last season, Vanheusden, who played one international match for Belgium, played football at Genoa on a rental basis.
,,The contact with director of football affairs Max Huiberts started a few months ago and there was a lot of confidence. AZ is the right team for me,” said Vanheusden, who is the fourth reinforcement for AZ after Mees de Wit, Jens Odgaard and Mayckel Lahdo.
