AZ loses transfer-free Mo Taabouni to Feyenoord, Joris Kramer to NEC

Mo Taabouni makes the switch to Feyenoord. The 20-year-old winger comes transfer-free from AZ and signs for two years in Rotterdam. Joris Kramer is also no longer in the plans of trainer Pascal Jansen and leaves for NEC Nijmegen.

The Haarlemmer played no less than nine years at AZ, which picked him up at Olympia Haarlem. At the Alkmaarders he went through the youth academy and then ended up in Jong AZ. In December, Taabouni made his debut in the first team. The attacker was allowed to participate for four minutes. However, it did not come to more playing minutes in the team of trainer Pascal Jansen.

Taabouni had the option to extend his contract with AZ, but he chose another club. He was in the interest of several clubs from home and abroad. At Feyenoord, Taabouni is reunited with former AZ trainer Arne Slot and Orkan Kökcü with whom he grew up in Haarlem. “We have known each other for a long time, grew up in the same neighborhood and played a lot of football together. Now to see if we still have a match here on the field at Feyenoord,” he says on the Feyenoord’s website

Kramer

Joris Kramer is also leaving Alkmaar. The defender played on a rental basis at Go Ahead Eagles last season and is no longer in the plans of trainer Pascal Jansen this season. As a result, the 25-year-old defender from Heiloo makes the switch to NEC Nijmegen, where he signs a three-year contract.

“Joris is a welcome reinforcement in our rearguard”, says Ted van Leeuwen, technical director of NEC. “We followed him well last season. A real defender in the style of NEC defenders from the past: no-nonsense. It is nice for the build-up that he is left-footed, but the emphasis is on defending. And he can do that. .”

AZ will play the first practice match in the run-up to the new season tomorrow. PEC Zwolle is the opponent in Dirkshorn at 4 pm.
