AZ goalkeeper Peter Vindahl immediately joins 1. FC Nürnberg. The Dane finishes the season on a rental basis with the current number 11 of the German second Bundesliga.
Vindahl came over from FC Nordsjælland for two million euros last summer. In his first season, the 24-year-old goalkeeper was immediately the first choice under the bar for the Alkmaarders. In preparation for the current season, however, trainer Pascal Jansen chose Hobie Verhulst as first goalkeeper and Vindahl had to settle for a spot on the reserve bench.
It is not known whether AZ will look for a replacement for Vindahl. Sem Westerveld is the other keeper in the AZ selection. Westerveld is often on target at Jong AZ, where the goalkeeper talent is also Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro still get the necessary competitions.
