AZ Factory does not use guest designers for the upcoming collection

In a departure from AZ Factory’s typical ‘guest amigo’ concept, the fashion house has now entrusted two in-house designers to the helm of the upcoming October 2 show in Paris.

Norman René Devera and Peter Movrin, designers personally selected by the late Alber Elbaz, take on the task of designing the Spring 2024 collection for the Richemont-owned brand. This was confirmed by Mauro Grimaldi to the trade magazine WWD, who is responsible for AZ Factory as a strategic consultant at the Swiss luxury group. The duo’s collection, titled ‘AZ Factory by Them’, will be unveiled during Paris Fashion Week.

In recent seasons – following the death of the founder in April 2021 – AZ Factory has typically drawn on outside talent to collaborate with its own design team. Past designers have included Lucinda Chambers, Molly Molloy, Thebe Magugu, Lutz Huelle and the duo behind Ester Manas.

Both Devera and Movrin have also collaborated with up-and-coming designers such as Lora Sonney and Tennessy Thoreson, who brought their own perspective to the house.
