Footballer Timo Letschert is no longer clubless. The former defender of AZ is transferring to the Danish Lyngby. The 29-year-old defender has been training with the Danish bottom line for several days.
AZ took over Letschert from the German HSV in 2020. Under coach Pascal Jansen, Letschert could not count on much playing time. Finally disbanded AZ signed the defender’s contract last August.

Letschert played his last game for the Alkmaarders very unhappy. In the away match against FC Twente (September 2021), Pascal Janssen took him off after 23 minutes. Out of frustration, the defender then went home with his own transport instead of the team bus.
