Timo Letschert’s contract with AZ has been dissolved in consultation. This is stated on the site of the Alkmaar club. The 29-year-old defender played a total of 29 games.
In the summer of 2020, Timo Letschert came over from Hamburger SV and played the necessary matches in the first season. However, the last game of the resident from Broek in Waterland is from September last year. Letschert then played a very unfortunate match against FC Twente in Enschede and coach Pascal Jansen took him off after 23 minutes. The defender angrily went home with his own transport instead of the team bus.

Since then, Letschert was no longer in the plans of trainer Pascal Jansen and a little later there was no place for him in the selection. He then regained his fitness at Jong AZ. It is still unclear where Letschert will continue his career.
