At the ordinary elective meeting of the Galatasaray Club Board of Directors, Aykutalp Derkan was reappointed as the president.
Aykutalp Derkan took part as the only candidate in the election held at Galatasaray High School Tevfik Fikret Hall.
After the voting ended at 15:00, counting started in 6 ballot boxes. After the counting, there were 314 votes for Aykutalp Derkan.
In his speech after the election, Aykutalp Derkan stated that the council meeting went very well and said, “You have chosen us for the 2024-2026 period. You can be sure that we will strive for the unity and peace of the great Galatasaray community. There is also a club election this year. We, as the council delegation, are here for the April “As of this month, we will evolve into a high election board. We will also have duties to ensure that the elections are held in a healthy manner. After the club election, we will work on a more modern and effective statute.” she said.
