Axios learned about Jen Psaki’s plans to leave the White House on MSNBC

White House press secretary Jen Psaki will step down from her position in May of this year and go to work on the American television channel MSNBC. informs Axios, citing two sources familiar with the situation.

According to the portal, Psaki has already consulted with White House lawyers on this matter. A source in the American administration said that the press secretary had not yet notified the press service of her intention to leave. In addition, Psaki has not yet signed any contracts with the TV channel, as this is prohibited by the rules for civil servants. Now she is studying the legal aspects of her resignation with lawyers.
