Every day there are many international truck drivers at the truck parking lot of the Roads and Traffic Agency. This parking is located about 200 meters from the renovated highway parking along the E40, and is completely free. The peripheral parking is now extra attractive for many drivers, because since yesterday they have to pay for their parking space in the renovated parking lot. Frank Casteleyn, mayor of Jabbeke, fears that the nuisance that is already noticeable in the parking lot will only become worse. There are no sanitary facilities and no cameras at the peripheral parking lot.
