Renault produced in Togliatti – Logan and Sandero – pending update. This will be the third generation of models. According to unofficial data, their production will begin at AvtoVAZ in June 2022.
Robotic systems have already been purchased for welding the front subframe and rear beam of vehicles based on the Renault CMF-B platform – the basic elements for the new Renault and Lada. One of the complexes has already been assembled at the Togliatti plant. Start-up and adjustment work and test welding are underway. It is designed to produce 240 chassis kits per shift.
Another welding robot complex will be purchased for the production of the updated Granta-2 and Niva. Leaks allow us to conclude that the new “Niva” will lose the rear continuous axle. It was previously planned that a completely new “Niva” will appear no later than 2024. The purchased equipment for the production of four-wheel drive vehicles is different from that purchased for Logan and Sandero.
Another news from AvtoVAZ: the plant has reduced the range of seat upholstery colors for cars of the LADA Vesta family. Vesta outperformed Granta in 2021 by number of sales. Spring Vesta waiting the biggest update in 7 years: the car will receive a digital instrument panel in the cabin, a new grille and rims. As for the interior upholstery, the reduction in the range is due to the cessation of the production of PALADIA artificial leather used as upholstery.
