The AvroTros has found a successor for Dionne Stax, who switched to Omroep MAX last year. The new presenter of DNA Unknown will be Marlijn Weerdenburg.
Marlijn Weerdenburg already made Moltalk for the broadcaster, but is now really a new permanent face of AvroTros. In addition to DNA Unknown, she can also be seen in August alongside Frits Sissing at ‘The Musical Awards – The Kick-off’ from the Uitmarkt. “Her versatility fits in well with the diverse range of culture programs offered by the broadcaster.”
‘She fits perfectly’
Media director Bart Barnas of AvroTros is very enthusiastic. “With her empathy, Marlijn Weerdenburg fits perfectly with DNA Unknown, where as a presenter she assists families during an impactful phase in their lives.”
He continues: “With her theater and musical background, she is also the right person to present The Musical Awards – The Kick-off live on the Museumplein with Frits Sissing. Marlijn brings people together and that fits AVROTROS perfectly.”
Marlin happy

DNA Unknown will return to television in the spring of 2023. The last episode with Dionne at the helm was shown last March.
