A few weeks ago, Avril Lavigne was back with her single “Bite Me”, giving us a first taste of her new album. The musician has now officially announced this.
Avril Lavigne’s new album is titled LOVE SUX and is due out on February 25th. In addition to “Bite Me,” there are eleven other new songs on the record, including features with Machine Gun Kelly and Blink 182 bassist and associate singer Mark Hoppus. Avril Lavigne has recently signed with his bandmate, drummer Travis Barker, and his label DTA Records. The new record should sound correspondingly more pop-punk. The predecessor HEAD ABOVE WATER was released in February 2019.
As part of the album announcement, Avril Lavigne has released another new song. For “I Love It When You Hate Me” she brought in R’n’B singer blackbear, who had previously worked with Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker, into the studio.
