“Avoid environment”: Boudewijnbrug in Bruges defective
“The bridge was open to shipping traffic, but it cannot go back down. It is best to avoid that part of the ring”, the police ask.

The Flemish government urgently needs to invest in the maintenance and repair of the swing and drawbridges over the water in Bruges.
Flemish Member of Parliament Annick Lambrecht van Vooruit recently sounded the alarm after she raised the issue with competent minister Lydia Peeters.
We have just received a report that the Boudewijn Bridge is defective. The bridge was open to ship traffic but cannot go back down. It is not yet clear whether the problem can be quickly remedied.
