Martin, how were your beginnings in your profession?
When I was 16 years old I had my first encounter with mechanics. In principle, it was a means to my greater purpose which at that time was to study Pharmacy. In fact, I studied the degree but in the third year, during a visit to a laboratory, I observed that this was not for me, since I felt that my place was somewhere else. That space was the workshop, every day I delved deeper and I took what I didn’t know how to do as a challenge. I was always accompanied by Eduardo, he taught me a lot of what I know and he was my image to follow, a mentor. I still remember when recommended people came and left happy not only for our attention but also for our work.
What services do you provide in the workshop?
The workshop has been around for five years, two of which were during a pandemic. Originally, the shop only specialized in front axle, suspension, brakes, alignment, balancing and services such as tire sales. With the pandemic we had to adapt to doing other jobs that we were not doing.
Currently the workshop has a general mechanical service and a wide range of products available to the customer. At the same time, we solve problems with water, temperature, cylinder heads, gearboxes and clutches.
We also do distribution and oil changes. Everything that is in our hands and we can solve, we are going to do. It is essential to carry out a good diagnosis to obtain a better picture of what the vehicle really needs. We take the time to go out and test drive the cars at the time of inspection and before delivering them to customers. For example, all of our alignment jobs are tested as many times as necessary to achieve an optimal result, which includes exact symmetry in the position of the steering wheel. This is a quality that customers always highlight to us, because many do not know that the steering wheel should be in that position.
